God is My Desire

Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:25-26

Jon-Michael     Core Beliefs

At times it is good to remember what you believe and be able to stand on some solid truths from God's word. This declaration is for anyone who would agree to it.

The Declaration

God is my desire.

I want to love God with all of my heart, soul, mind, and strength.

This is not always possible because of my sin against God.

The only hope I have is Jesus Christ.

Jesus lived a perfect life for me, loving God better than I ever could.

Jesus died on the cross for me, taking the ultimate punishment for my sin.

Jesus rose from the grave so that I could have eternal life and the Holy Spirit of God.

Being saved from sin is a free gift from God.

The ability to have faith in Jesus Christ and trust in his death on the cross is a free gift from God.

The ability to desire God is a free gift from God.

The Bible teaches who God is, how much I need Him, and how much He loves me.

With God’s help I will battle the evil desires that still try to pull me away from God.

I am not perfect and every day I must rely upon Jesus Christ and the forgiveness of sins.

As the Holy Spirit transforms my heart, my desire for God will increase.

At the end of my life I can only hope that others see my desire for God was from God.

Whatever good I have done, whatever I have accomplished, may God receive all the credit.

God is my desire.
